Our Team

Hope McPheeters – Director

Hope McPheeters co-founded Ella’s Hope with her husband Sam in 2010. The McPheeters’ daughter Ella was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2 and she wanted to help other families with the fight against autism.

Hope has been directing the charity from the start. She has formed partnerships with local organizations and assists in fundraising, planning events, and spreading awareness of Autism.



Sam McPheeters

Sam is in charge of overall management, alongside Hope.

Sam handles all of the marketing, media, web design and development and management in the St. Louis area.

Tara Shade

Tara is our coordinator and manager for efforts in Columbia, MO.

Along with husband Scott, the Shades have been involved with Ella’s Hope since the begging. Tara is on the board of directors.

Holly Malone-Zukitas

Holly helps with our efforts in Kansas City, MO and sits on the board of directors.

As an Attorney, Holly also volunteers her time as legal adviser for Ella’s Hope for Autism.





Phil Malone

Phil helps lead our fund raising efforts in Kansas City.

Phil also helps coordinate events and outings in the KC area. He sits on the board of directors.


Steve McPheeters

Steve helps with fund raising efforts in Southeast Missouri.

Steve offers help with media relations in SEMO and maintains relationship with KRCC.

Scott Shade

Scott helps assist our efforts in the Columbia area along with wife Tara.

The Shades have been involved with Ella’s Hope since the beginning. Scott sits on the board.




Dana Greiner

Dana has been involved with Ella’s Hope since its inception during the Pepsi Refresh Project.

Dana sits on the board and helps with efforts in Kansas City, MO.

Lisa Zartman

Ms. Lisa is a special education teacher for CPS and works with children who have Autism.

Lisa sits on the board at Ella’s Hope and assists efforts in Columbia, MO.

Mike Mazzocco

Mike was a key component in helping organize the first annual Mid-MO walk for autism.

Mike sits on the board of directors & helps w/community relations in Columbia.
