Art for Autism this Friday

If you are near the Kansas City area this Friday, think about joining us for our “Art for Autism” event in the West Plaza at The Hook Art Gallery.

Things start around 7 PM and we expect to have a good crowd. We will also be unveiling our “Faces of Autism” inspirational series – featuring photographs by Jamie Rowe Fitzgerald.

We will also be featuring Art Work from kids all of the state. These will be auctioned off, along with great gift certificates, and gift baskets that our corporate supporters supplied in the are.

Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and beautiful artwork at Hook Gallery and Framing. Artwork will be on sale and there will be a silent auction and raffle. All proceeds will benefit the development of our Online Training Center and Resource Library for Parents dealing with Autism in Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois.

Greek Week at Mizzou – for the second year in a row, Ella’s Hope has been chosen as a beneficiary for Greek Week at The University of Missouri – Columbia. Once more details are known for the fund raising events – we will post them here and on facebook.

Ella’s Hope Donates $5,000 to KRCC

Ella’s Hope for Autism recently donated $5,000 to the Kenny Rogers Children Center located in Sikeston, MO. The Center will put the funding into their Autism intervention program and therapy.

Thanks to Rob and all the great people at Smashburger in Overland Park, KS. We had a great time on April 26th and raised $647.55 for Ella’s Hope. We plan on doing it again on May 24th at the Olathe and Lawrence locations. More details to come.

Ella’s Hope donates $10,000 to Thompson Center

Dr. Bregman and Hope McPheeters at the MU Thompson Center for Autism. They are standing in the Family Resource Center which will be known as “Ella’s Hope Family Resource Library” at the Thompson Center over the next five years. The naming opportunity was extended to Ella’s Hope for pledging our efforts, time and resources over the next five year for the early intervention of ASD.

Hope is presenting Dr. Bregman with a check for the first installment of $10,000 donated from Ella’s Hope, after a winning a $25K grant from the Pepsi Refresh project.

Ella’s Hope Launch Party

Ella’s Hope had it’s official Launch Party on March 18th at D. Rowe’s Back Room.

The party was very informal and open to whoever wanted to come. The crowd was steady all night and everyone was able to enjoy some refreshments, appetizers, cake and some March Madness on the big screens.

We want to thank everyone for showing up and a special thanks to David and Meghan for making sure everyone was happy with food and beverage.

We did it! Thanks Everyone.

Still In the Running (Pepsi Refresh Project)

The Good News . . . since we finished in the Top 50, our cause was automatically renewed again for this month. And now we are up to 33rd place early on. We made a late push last month, and jumped from 92nd to 42nd in one week to close out the month. Mainly by teaming with other Autism causes around the country.

So please vote again this month. You can vote 3 different ways, every day (facebook, email, text). So we would appreciate at least one vote a day, if possible. The easiest thing to do, is just add it to your outlook or google calendar “as a daily reminder” and then take 30 seconds to vote.
